Fairwind Vermont is a locally based citizen's action organization which promotes the fair development of the state's wind energy resources.
Fairwind Vermont works to inform the public about the need for and benefits of clean, sustainable and renewable wind energy sources at the local and state levels. The group fosters open and factual discussion on the future of wind energy in Vermont.
Fairwind Vermont wants to ensure that wind projects are sited and built in a manner fair to local citizens, their communities and environments, the electric rate-payers, developers and the state as a whole.
Fairwind Vermont will work to see that Vermont's fragile environment is protected through the development process, by advocating for the highest possible standards of protection for the natural and social communities affected.
